This Motorcycle Holiday in Transylvania & Bukovina will offer you a sneak peek into Romania’s best motorcycle roads, traditional food and drinks and tourist attractions. The city of Cluj Napoca in the heart of Transylvania is the departure point for this motorbike adventure.

You will be transferred to Turda to collect your chosen BMW motorbike and start riding to your next destination. As the adventures are not about the destination but the rides, the road that takes you there will be filled with great views, charming  hills, deep valleys and amazing mountain roads.

Highlights:

• Transrarau Road – aka Treasures Road, offers breath-taking views and amazing motorbike rides
• Tihuta Pass – aka Borgo Pass made famous by Bram Stocker’s novel Dracula, the mountain road reaches 1116 m in altitude
• Mestecanis Pass – Situated in Bukovina region, the pass reaches an elevation of  1096 m
• Bicaz Gorges – Cross Hell’s Throat in Bicaz Gorges – one of the most spectacular gorges in Romania.
• Red Lake – aka Killer Lake is situated near Bicaz Gorges, a peculiar landscape of a flooded fir trees forest

Brief Itinerary:

Day 1, Cluj Napoca – Turda – Lechinta – Colibita
162 km – 3h10min

Welcome to Transylvania. Ride to Colibita – known as the sea at the mountain.
Accommodation in a 3* Hotel in Colibita.

Day 2, Colibita – Transrarau – Bicaz
252 km – 5h20 min

On the way to Transrarau in Bucovina you will cross Tihuta and Mestecanis Mountain Passes.
Ride Transrarau Road to Bicaz. Overnight in Bicaz.

Day 3, Bicaz – Red Lake – Turda
210 km – 4hrs

Enjoy a walk in Bicaz Gorges and a boat ride on the Red Lake. Ride to Turda.
The winding road will provide for great photo opportunities and your motorbike will love this.

Day 4, Turda – Cluj

Arrive in Turda to return the motorbike and transfer to Cluj-Napoca Airport for your flight home.
