Transylvanian Experience is one of the finest motorcycle Europe tours. The itinerary includes top motorcycle roads,  wonderful views and exciting bends. Famous Transfagarasan Road and Transalpina Highway – highest in Romania are 2 of the Transylvanian gems; crooked and challenging, ideal for a motorcycle getaway.

Put your experience to the test and venture in Transylvania. The road will reward you with amazing views and the local beer and wine will make you want to return. You will be collected from Avram Iancu Airport in Cluj-Napoca and transferred to the city of Turda. This is where you will make acquaintance with your best buddy for the next 4 days – your BMW motorbike of choice.

You can choose your preferred BMW motorbike model, the GS range. You will receive a map of Romania and your tour leader  will offer you detailed information on what you are going to ride and visit in the next few days.

The tour is flexible. The tourist attractions are recommendations only and are not included in the price. This gives you the freedom to choose what you want to visit.

Brief Itinerary:

Day 1, Cluj Napoca – Turda

Welcome to Romania! Our English speaking guide, collects you from Cluj Napoca Airport.
Transfer to Turda, a small town with an intimate atmosphere founded by the Romans under the name Potaissa.
Visit Turda Salt Mines, with impressive halls named after kings and queens. Accommodate in a 3* hotel.

Day 2,  Turda – Alba Iulia – Sugag – Ranca
about 200 km/ 124 miles – 5 hours of riding

Ride to Alba Iulia Citadel, a fortress with seven bulwarks, a star shaped citadel, common to Vauban fortresses.
Ride to Transalpina Road, the highest mountain road in Romania. Accommodation in a 3* Country Inn in Ranca.

Day 3, Ranca – Curtea de Arges – Balea Lac – Sibiu
about 230 km/ 143 miles – 6 hours of riding

Curtea de Arges is your next destination.
Find out the legend of the monastery and continue your journey riding up to the mountains.
Ride Transfagarasan Highway – the most crooked and challenging of Europe’s roads for motorcyclists.
Accommodation in a 3* Hotel.

Day 4, Sibiu – Medias – Turda

You’ll then ride to the town of Medias, with its beautiful medieval centre.
Travel next to Cluj-Napoca for the return flight.
